Oh, the Irony! Original Apple Macintosh 1984 Commercial Perfectly Portrays Firm’s Future

Directed by Ridley Scott and now widely considered “a masterpiece”, this original commercial for the Apple Macintosh computer, which aired in 1984 and alluded to George Orwell’s dystopian novel, supposedly heralded the coming of Apple as a means of liberating humanity from the convention and conformity that the then market leader, IBM represented.

How ironic then, that almost 30 years later, Apple has ended up engineering exactly that, with millions of mind controlled minions lining up for their Orwellian technology equipped products in scenes reminiscent of those from the original commercial.

Today, we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives. We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology—where each worker may bloom, secure from the pests purveying contradictory truths. Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on earth. We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death, and we will bury them with their own confusion. We shall prevail!
